Tenderize

"If we are to share His glory,

In days of yore, the Pharisees
despised, distrusted Jesus Christ.
Whatever made US think that we,
His followers, could ever be
more welcomed by the world than He?

O Lord, our God, hard hearts abound.
Our world is just a sinful now.
The task You've given us, Your church,
remains as unacceptable
today as 'twas in days of yore
when You, Yourself, walked on the earth.
Lord, tenderize their hardened hearts.

God sends the rains into my life

As constant reminders of grace.

The rain of the world renews growth,

While Spirit’s rain renews my soul.

Into each life, some rain must fall,

It’s how we perceive it that matters.

If rain never came, how would we know

The strength of God’s love and mercy?

Be Prepared

An accident and a blessing
Each can (and will) change your life.
It’s how you will prepare for them
That will determine impact.

When unprepared, an accident
Can cause bitterness and strife.
When prepared, you can better cope
Because God is on your side.

When unprepared, any blessing
Can also catch you off guard.
You’ll be unable to handle
Those blessings that come your way.

How to prepare is the question.
Dig wells before draughts arrive;
Immerse yourself in God’s Scriptures,
His WORD will guide all actions.

Certainty and Hope

I have the utmost certainty
That nothing in this world of ours
Can ever separate me
From Your love, O Holy Lord.

There’s something in this hope I have
That all earth’s shadows can not quench.
There is such joy in knowing
I live within Your presence.

In This New Year

In this new year, my prayer will be
That you’ll see how your faith is growing.
May each thought be of His glory,
Each word be worship and praise to Him,
Each act be with His holy will,
And each moment be on His pathway.
