Always compassion driving Him
forward,
He noticed the widow giving
her pennies;
He noticed the deaf, and
healed him in privacy,
Disabusing theology of “Who
has sinned.”
He noticed Zacchaeus, high up
in that tree.
He noticed needs of whoever
passed by!
He was the “party boy,” loving
His food,
Left us His “meal” to honor
His ministry;
The good of this life should
be lived to the fullest.
He noticed how Pharisees,
attending to “law,”
Rejected Sabbath as a day for
healing;
Thought Him but “A man who
ate with sinners.”
This man was unique in all
the world!
Yes, He did get weary, and
needed His rest,
But no matter how tired, His
compassion was shown
Even to serving the dregs of
humanity.
His noted signature is His
compassion.
What makes you think He would
not notice you?
